Venous Ultrasound

The ultrasound examination of the veins is specifically significant for varicose veins if the purpose is to determine whether a surgical measure should be recommended or the motion therapy would still be sufficient.

Ultrasound is also the diagnostic procedure of choice for detecting thromboses (blood clot deposition) or phlebitis.
